2 Nights / 3 Days 1 April – 1 November 2025

Day 1 – Ephesus – House of Virgin Mary – Laodicea (L/D) Upon arriving at Izmir airport (around 08:30), you’ll be picked up and taken to Ephesus, one of the “Seven Churches of Revelation”. Visit the St. John Basilica and the Last abode of the Virgin Mary on Mount Solmissos. Afterward, explore the old Greco-Roman city of Ephesus, the most important of the “Seven Churches of Asia Minor” and a place where St. John brought Mary to fulfill his promise to Jesus to protect her. According to tradition, Mary was taken into heaven from this location. After lunch, continue on to Laodicea, a crossroads of the ancient world. At the end of the day, you’ll have an overnight stay in Pamukkale.

Day 2 – Pamukkale – Sardis – Philadelphia – Thyatira (B/L/D) In the morning, we’ll visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, home of Philip the Evangelist. After that, we’ll take a break at the calcium terraces of Pamukkale, then continue on to Philadelphia (Alasehir), the youngest of the “Seven Churches of Revelation”. There, we’ll visit the still-standing remains of an early church and the city walls. We’ll have lunch on the way, then in the afternoon, we’ll visit the ancient city and ruins of the famous church of Sardis, the ancient Lydian capital. Afterward, we’ll see the remains of the church of Thyatira and then drive to Pergamon, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 3 – Pergamon – Smyrna / Fly (B) After breakfast, we’ll depart for Pergamon (Bergama), the location where St. John wrote to the church of Pergamon, stating that “Satan’s throne is sited.” We’ll visit the Church of Pergamon, the red-court, and the Acropolis. After lunch, we’ll visit a carpet co-operation center to learn about how Turkish carpets are made by hand. Then we’ll drive to Smyrna (Izmir), a city praised by St. Paul for the faithfulness of its early believers. At the end of the tour, you’ll be transferred to the Izmir Airport.
